Trip Outline

This experience can begin either from Wadi Rum Village or from the cave camping area, depending on whether guests choose to do the tour on their arrival day or the morning after spending the night in the cave.

The adventure starts with a drive through the desert to the starting point of one of Wadi Rum's beautiful mountain hikes Jabal Al-hash. From there, guests begin a guided hike that takes approximately 3 hours. Along the way, your Bedouin guide will introduce you to the desert's unique plants and herbs, explaining their traditional uses as natural medicine and remedies that Bedouins have relied on for generations.

During the hike, guests will also collect some of these wild herbs, which will later be used to prepare traditional Bedouin herbal tea. As you continue along the trail, the scenery becomes more spectacular, with breathtaking views opening up across the vast desert landscape.

Upon reaching the summit, you will have time to relax and enjoy one of the most impressive panoramic viewpoints in Wadi Rum. Here, your guide will prepare fresh herbal tea using the plants collected during the hike. While enjoying the tea, guests can take in the incredible views, rest, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the desert from above.

After hiking back down and returning to the vehicle, the tour continues deeper into the protected area to a beautiful lunch spot. A freshly prepared traditional Bedouin lunch will be served. During the warmer months, guests can spend extra time relaxing in the shade, while in winter the schedule is adjusted to make the most of the daylight hours and visit additional sites.

Following lunch, the Jeep tour continues to some of Wadi Rum's most remarkable landmarks:

Um Frouth Rock Bridge – One of the most famous natural rock bridges in Wadi Rum, offering excellent views and photo opportunities.

Sadd Al Taqa Viewpoint – A beautiful panoramic viewpoint overlooking the surrounding desert and mountains. Here, guests will also learn about traditional Bedouin methods of collecting and storing water from natural sources hidden within the mountains.

Um Al Saman Rock Bridge – A less-visited but impressive natural rock formation surrounded by stunning desert scenery.

Chicken Rock – A unique rock formation shaped remarkably like a chicken, making it one of Wadi Rum's interesting geological landmarks.

Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to stop for photos, short walks, and to learn more about Bedouin culture, desert life, local traditions, and the unique geology that has shaped Wadi Rum over millions of years.

At the end of the tour, guests will either return to the cave for another relaxing evening under the stars or, if they already spent the previous night at the cave, they will be driven back to Wadi Rum Village.
